Patrick & Lauren, celebrated their wedding together with their closest friends and family at Hilltop Wedding Center in homey Sylvan Lake Alberta. The wedding was heavily focused on their friends and family. The large scale reception space allowed for family from British Columbia, Alberta and even Germany to rendezvous. Making the trek to Hilltop Wedding Centre is quite picturesque. Sylvans lake proximity to Red Deer and Calgary makes it convent for anyone driving in locally but is also for guests flying into YYC or YQF from other destinations. We opted to drive from Vancouver BC and we did not regret as the drive through the Rocky Mountains and Banff is unbeatable. We were shocked to pull into Sylvan Lake and see the cute village on the lake. Sylvan Lake boasts some of the most beautiful hotels and airbnbs lake side. The cute little shops in town make Sylvan Lake a perfect place for a destination wedding. Being that the venue is on the top of a hill, you can see the beautiful lake. The top hill over looking the lake makes for a great spot for wedding portraits and is any wedding photographers dream of a location.

Patrick and Lauren opted to have their ceremony under the beautiful trees on the edge of venue. This choice seems like a no brainer as the trees on either side shape the aisle in beautiful way. The ceremony space is a blank canvas for adding beautiful details. Patrick and Lauren had a simple arch with some white flowers that accented Lauren's white rose bouquet beautifully.

As the dances commenced at sunset the glass greenhouse venue was glowing. The bright colours of the sunset really brought to life the warmth and welcoming from the people in the room.

In so many ways this day reaffirmed that a more traditional wedding can be focused on the bride and the groom; especially when friends and family bring all the love.
